His father had always talked about Lord Reins castle and sanctuary, and always pushed for Howl to find a way to get there. Howl admires Otto and Ruslan a lot, even though they were the reason for the death of his father. He understands it was inevitable, and that thanks to that, he knew how Otto looked like and was able to bring him back to Ivania after his fight with Charles.
